REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TEHRAN - terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) is suspected to have close ties with Israel. MKO also helped Israel in covert operations against Iran.

The statement was delivered by the former commander of MKO, Massoud Khodabandeh, in a telephone interview with Israel, 'Maariv' radio on Monday (5/3) yesterday. Massoud Khodabandeh expressed no surprise to hear about the role of MKO terrorists in killing Iranian nuclear scientists.

"The terrorist MKO has been involved in the murder of Iranian nuclear scientists in the past two years," said U.S. officials told NBC, as quoted by Press TV.

Since January 2010, a total of six Iranian nuclear scientist who had been killed by the Israeli intelligence agency operations, Mossad, who use the terrorist MKO. "I was not surprised by the news last because I am fully aware of Israel's relations with MKO," added Khodabandeh.

He said the MKO has extensive ties with Israel and cooperation in Europe as well as by Israeli agents.

According to former MKO officials, mostly members of the organization are women. Their leader Maryam Rajavi, also a woman, the wife of Massoud Rajavi MKO members, who 'disappeared' 10 years ago and there is no information available about the current whereabouts.

This organization, has strong financial resources and the two main bases, one in the suburbs of Paris and other Camp Ashraf in Iraq. MKO elements have recently been evacuated from the Liberty Camp Ashraf in Iraq.

Organization which has five thousand members, the forbidden contact with the outside world, and actually obey Rajavis.

Ann Singleton, wife of former members of MKO Khodabandeh, also notes the MKO was never independent and always rely on foreign support. According to him, it would be logical to imagine that the organization has been involved in the murder of Iranian scientists.

Dr. Trita Parsi, a prominent critic of MKO, also noted that the MKO is not a simple organization, but the cult of the press and even its own members.

Called the MKO as a terrorist organization under U.S. law, and has been described by officials from the U.S. State Department as a repressive cult.

The group fled to Iraq in 1986, where he enjoyed the support of the executed Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussein. MKO is also known to have cooperated with Saddam in suppressing the rebellion in 1991 in southern Iraq and the massacre of Kurds in Iraq. The group also has conducted numerous acts of violence against Iranian civilians and government officials.
