Fix The Small Stuff First And Then More Onto Bigger Issues

While searching for ways to become more efficient, it's best to start small. Sure, you would like to find big things that it is possible to correct and look like a superstar when you do it, however starting off small can help and it will also make the changes much easier to deal with. It is always best to start with yourself, taking a look at the way you do things to see if there are any improvements that may be made.

Once you make your own modifications and see what works and what does not and what helps and what makes things worse, it is time to expand your circle of change. You can take the changes that work to the head of the department, maybe that's you, and look at making the changes through the entire department. On a larger scale, the changes should make more of an impact, especially since you have already run you tests and shown that the changes work. You will get resistance; it never fails, because people do not like change.
